A note from BCD: Felix Yoel Schlessinger, Numismatist, born February 1879 in Mainz; auctioned the Greek coins removed by the Soviets from Hermitage on February 1934 and February 1935 in Berlin; died October 1944 in Aushwitz. This is the first of the two auctions, notable for the illustrated huge Olbia bronzes and the large quantities of Roman coins sold at the end of the auction in bulk lots of 85s for the Roman Republic and 100s for the Roman Imperial.
