Diademed head of deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ | ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena enthroned left, Nike in right hand, resting left arm on grounded shield with gorgoneion boss, transverse spear beyond; ΔΩ monogram in inner left field, crescent right and facing bust of radiate Helios on throne. Thompson 17 (not illustrated). Müller -. No examples found in sales archives. Perfectly struck from dies of magnificent style on a bright flan with subdued luster. The 'star' designation clearly earned by this incredibly attractive and excessively rare example.
