Memphis or Alexandria, in the name of Alexander III the Great of Macedon, ca. 319-315 BC. Diademed head of Alexander right, wearing elephant's skin headdress / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, thunderbolt; monogram below throne. Svoronos 22. A rare type that is seldom seen on the market.
