CAESARI-AVGVSTO, laureate head of Augustus right / S• P • Q • R, triumphal quadriga right, panels ornamented with Victories, cart containing aquila and surmounted by four miniature galloping horses. RIC I 110. A superbly struck example of this very rare type with lustrous surfaces. Only seven total examples found in sales archives.
