IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M TR P P P COS III, laureate head of Vespasian right / IVDAEA-CAPTA, bearded Jew standing right facing palm tree, his hands tied behind his back; on other side of tree veiled female figure (Judaea) seated right on cuirass in attitude of mourning, resting right elbow on knee and supporting head with her left hand; behind the Jew, two shields and two spears; before Judaea, round shield, S C in exergue. RIC II, Part 1, 159. Hendin 1500. Rich burnt sienna patina on antiqued brass, excellent details despite slight die shift on reverse.
