From a mintage of just 20,000 pieces, this rare and popular specimen remains a bright lemon-gold, with surfaces alight in delicate luster. Franz Joseph's portrait remains satisfyingly sharp, some very light wear but with otherwise full detail to his laureate wreath; the overall effect is of very limited circulation, careful handling and overall limited contact in the 160 years since this rarity was produced.
