A very difficult colonial type to obtain in Mint State, this large gold selection boasts rich gold coloring with satiny luster overlaid on the boldly impressed surfaces. Whereas Charles's portraits are often softly struck on this issue, the present offering exhibits an excellent depth of detail and limited subsequent contact marks. An altogether handsome example.
