Republic gold 8 Escudos 1830 POPAYAN-UR AU58 NGC, Popayan mint, KM82.2. A supremely beautiful specimen crackling with golden luster and displaying attractive reddish tints to the legends. The devices are well-struck for the type, the only flaw of the piece being a small scratch visible to the lower left of the bust. Truly superb for the type, with an appeal that likely couldn't be matched by the few existing Mint State issues.
