Napoleon gold 20 Francs 1810-H AU50 NGC, La Rochelle mint, KM695.3, Fr-517. A clean and problem-free example from the scarce mint of La Rochelle. Only 2,454 issues were minted in 1810, and the present example is tied for second-finest certified by NGC, the highest example an AU55. This fact attests to the difficulty of finding this type in anything but lower grades. It should be noted that we sold the highest certified piece in April 2017 (sale 3054, lot 30702) for $3,760. This example, being of close quality, should achieve a similar price.
