Republic gold Specimen Piefort 50 Francs 1976 SP67 PCGS, Paris mint, KM-P564. From a scant mintage of 54 pieces. Worthy of deep cameo designation with its frosty depiction of the Hercules group on the obverse, this massive gold offering is beautiful to behold, a dazzling premium gem. There is some slight fogging to the reverse and some thread-like inclusions sealed in with the coin, but these could be removed if re-holdered. Only the second example of the date we have offered, the first being a PR66 we offered in January which realized $8,700, and we expect this higher certified specimen to generate even greater excitement amongst bidders.
