Great Britain
Late Anglo-Saxon. Aethelred II (978-1016) Penny MS64 PCGS, London mint, S-1151, North-774. Leofric as moneyer. Long Cross type. +ÆÐELRÆD REX ANGLO, bare headed bust left / LEOFRIC M'O LVND, voided long cross. An astounding specimen due both to its remarkable almost neon-like color palette of olive-gold and fuchsia tone, as well as its near-gem state of preservation. A wonderful example of the type worthy of a premium bid.
