Charles I (1625-49) gold Unite ND (1628-29) VF30 PCGS, Tower mint, S-2692, N-2153. Anchor mm. A lovely Unite of Charles I, well-detailed with a fine portrait of the King, a bloom of russet tone in the recesses. Of a very rich color and on a particularly unusual flan; as this specimen has clearly been circulated, it is hard to understand quite how it avoided being clipped as it has a very inviting point of excess gold at 3 o'clock on the obverse. An attractive and curious piece.
