Great Britain
George I gold Guinea 1725 XF Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM559.1, S-3633. A highly attractive gold survivor from the first Hanoverian monarch of Britain, and with almost full luster it is somewhat difficult to ascertain quite what the 'Cleaned' designation refers to. A rich corn-yellow in color, George's portrait exhibiting wear but not obscuring the base detail of this famously low-relief engraving. Little in the way of scratches or detracting marks commonly seen on this heavily-circulated type. An appealing Guinea from one of the final years of George I's reign.
