George II 1/2 Penny 1751 MS65 Brown NGC, KM579.2, S-3719. Old laureate bust. A gorgeous gem UNC copper showing a bold strike--particularly the wonderful portrait of the King--and nearly flawless surfaces toned in deep-brown coloration. Bright glimmers of mint red are found throughout the legends, which display the classic bifurcated lettering of the period. Unpriced in the SCBC above EF grade, because this type is normally found at its best in brown AU, and is often poorly struck.
