George II gold 2 Guineas 1739 AU Details (Tooled) NGC, KM578, S-3668. A bright and sunny specimen, butterscotch-yellow in color with a red patina forming on the reverse; George's portrait is very sharp, little wear evident on the high points, the reverse shield perhaps even more crisp. The firmness of the strike has produced an attractive dished effect to the flan often seen on this popular type. Despite the light hairlines in the fields commensurate with the certification, this coin remains highly attractive.
