George III "Northumberland" Shilling 1763 MS63 NGC, KM597, S-3742. Produced in limited quantities, this issue was minted after the Earl of Northumberland specifically ordered £100 worth of Shillings to distribute upon his appointment as Lord Lieutenant. By these figures, only 2,000 would have been produced. Rare and desirable thus, this piece exhibits bewitching reflectivity in the fields, toned with hints of yellows, greens and blues over argent surfaces. A sharp selection of this rare Shilling.
