William IV gold Sovereign 1836 AU55 NGC, KM717, S-3829B. A pleasing example with much residual luster, the warm goldenrod planchet firmly impressed with the visage of the 'Sailor King' William IV and the reverse shield. Sovereigns were only produced for six years during the reign of this king and saw heavy circulation, rendering higher grade specimens such as this present offering scarce.
