Ferdinand VII gold 8 Escudos 1812 Mo-JJ AU55 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM160. A highly-pleasing large golden issue with remarkably limited weakness to the legends for the type, mostly confined to the word AUSPICE on the reverse. Subtle, but notable, die polish lines remain visible within the protected regions of the shield on the reverse while a spattering of handling marks are visible, but not terribly distracting or surprising for the grade. A small patch of adjustment marks also appear over the EO in DEO, adding further character to an already desirable piece.
