Charles IV gold 4 Escudos 1804 LM-JP UNC Details (Cleaned) NGC, Lima mint, KM98, Cal-193. An extremely scarce type, only a handful appearing for auction in the last few years, and highly attractive to boot. Despite its certification this piece exhibits very little detraction in its eye appeal from whatever cleaning it received, exhibiting subdued luster above original surfaces on the obverse and an immensely glossy reverse approaching prooflike standard. A must-have specimen for the dedicated collector of Spanish Colonial or Peruvian coinage.
