Spanish Colony. Isabel II gold 4 Pesos 1861 MS62 NGC, KM144. A very difficult type to obtain in Mint State, this example is the highest graded by NGC. We sold the second highest, an MS61 NGC, at our auction 3032 in April 2014, where it realized $3,750 hammer. Boasting well-struck lemon-gold features, this offering would be very difficult to match and certainly belongs in a high-end colonial Spanish or Philippine collection.
