Alexander I of Russia 50 Zlotych 1819-IB AU55 PCGS, Warsaw mint, KM103, Fr-105, Bitkin-806. Small head type. Obv. Bare head right. Rev. Crowned imperial double eagle facing, holding scepter, sword, and orb; crown above, crowned and mantled coat-of-arms on breast. The final issue of this popular three-year run, and immensely popular amongst collectors of both the Russian and Polish series due to its being struck during the Russian domination of Poland. Unusually high grade for the series, this example has terrific aesthetic appeal, significantly lustrous and overlaid with a delicate salmon tone giving particular warmth to the planchet. Lightly adjustment marked at Alexander's portrait but to no significant depth nor extent. A spectacular specimen of this coveted type.
