Alexander II copper Pattern Proof 2 Kopecks 1863-EM PR64 Red and Brown NGC, Brussels mint, Bit-600 (R2), Brekke-142 (Rare), Ilyin (15 Rub), KM-Pn131. This was a proposed design for new coinage that was struck at the Brussels mint but never approved for issue. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle. Rev. Date and value in wreath. Considerable original mint-red luster, with bold strike and only light marks. Most of what appear to be hairlines are actually scratches on the NGC holder. A Choice and rare Pattern issue.
