Milan Obrenovich IV Proof 5 Dinara 1879 PR65 Cameo PCGS, Vienna mint, KM12, Dav-304. Type I. An ever-popular type among collectors of 20th century crowns, and one which is scarcely offered so attractive as this Gem-graded example. Somewhat muted reflectivity in the fields gives a subdued appearance to this Proof, Milan's portrait luxuriously frosted above, the entire planchet colored an argent gray with a light gold tone at the peripheries. For comparison, a NGC PR66 Cameo realized a hammer price of $14,000 in our 2012 Long Beach auction (sale 3020, lot 24688), and so we expect this offering only one point below to generate significant interest.
