Ferdinand & Isabella gold 2 Excelentes ND (1476-1516) AU55 NGC, Seville mint, Fr-129, Cayon-2937. Eight-pointed star between Ferdinand and Isabella's portraits. Despite a faint wave to the flan as it almost-always present on this type, this lovely Almost Uncirculated specimen is very well made, struck firmly on a round flan of good metal. An ever-popular issue from the joint reign of these two monarchs, superbly represented here in a premium grade for the type.
