BITHYNIA. Calchedon. Ca. mid-3rd century BC. AR tetradrachm (32mm, 17.19 gm, 11h). NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5. Name and types of Lysimachus of Thrace. Diademed head of deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena seated left, Nike in right hand, resting left arm on grounded shield with gorgoneion boss, transverse spear beyond; grain stalk in outer left field, ΠΥΟ monogram in inner right field. Müller 242. Perfect centering on ample flan with golden highlights on lustrous surfaces. Very rare - this is the only example in sale archives.
