Republic gold 5 Pesos 1875-GW UNC Details (Test Cut) NGC, San Jose mint, KM117. Sharply struck with lightly toned surfaces over the scattered handling marks to be expected for the grade. The better date of this two-year type, with glossy mint luster still clinging to the devices that endows the margins with a watery finish. The test cut noted on the holder, while quite deep, is most visible on the rim around 2 o'clock on the reverse, but hardly touches the surfaces.
