A very rare silver striking of this massive medal commemorating the unveiling of the equestrian monument of Frederick the Great in Berlin and portraying the jugate busts of Friedrich Wilhelm III, who began construction on the monument, and Friedrich Wilhelm IV, who oversaw its completion. The surfaces are deeply mirrored with gold tones in the outer rims and a few mottled age spots on the reverse.
