With only one example currently ranking higher in the NGC census, this stunning minor issue contains a degree of quality and eye-appeal rarely encountered for the type. The fields remain extremely satiny and, save for a light die crack on the reverse, are entirely free of disturbances. With such a high level of execution, one can ponder over the somewhat shallowness of the engraved legends, with letters that often seen to break, and the slightly out-of-round shape of the flan--factors that make the present offering's state of survival all the more singular.
