Great Britain
Edward VI (1547-53) 1/2 Crown 1551 F12 NGC, Southwark mint (y mm), Third Period, S-2479. A remarkably well-struck piece for the issue with the numerical grade harkening largely to the clear wear in the centers, though this type comes notoriously shallowly struck. The legends themselves are fully executed and legible, accompanied by a gorgeous cabinet of sapphire and apricot which makes them appear all the sharper, while the surfaces display few marks and contain a noteworthy degree of luster.
