George II Shilling 1727 MS63 NGC, KM561.2, ESC-1190. Young Laureate Head, Roses & Plumes reverse. A lovely argent specimen with shimmering surfaces and well-defined details - a type for which no examples grade finer at NGC. Often with such early 18th century Shilling issues one will encounter localized areas of weakness on a shield or crown of the reverse, but this example was struck with, and retains, full definition.
