Victoria 5 Cents 1899 MS67★ NGC, KM5. The single finest certified example in the NGC census, and the only one to be awarded the coveted star designation, this satiny and superbly lustrous little Gem more than deserves its position of prominence. The surfaces are lightly stippled with a mix of silvery blues, red-violets, and sunset faint oranges. For reference, a PCGS MS67 example (without the stellar toning) hammered for $950 in Stack's Bowers' April 2018 Hong Kong Auction (Lot 53622).
