MΛThIΛS D (retrograde) | GR VnGΛRIЄ, crowned Madonna holding the Christ child in her right arm, thistle to either side, raven with a ring in its beak below / S • LΛDISL | ΛVS RЄX, standing figure of the king, mintmaster's initials to either side. A near perfect lemon-gold offering with fully crisp details, no evidence of wear, and strong die polish lines that all suggest a somewhat conservative numerical grade. Though some areas of the devices display a slight flatness (such as the mintmaster's initials), the coin remains as struck.
