Ferdinand VII 1/4 Real 1813-Mo MS66 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM62. A fully-Gem and marvelous striking of this tiny minor, currently tied for the finest certified by NGC. The stone rampart on the obverse conveys a sense of intimate attention, each brick carefully rendered and tinged a light shade of champagne. The reverse lion is similarly exceptional, every detail from the mane to the ear to the crown expertly struck against a bright iridescent background of sapphire and amethyst.
