Montreal, PQ- Bank of Montreal $5 Jan. 2, 1895 Ch. # 505-44-02. Unlike the Bank of Montreal's earlier issues, which tended to circulate for only three years or so before being replaced by different designs, the 1895 issue circulated for nearly a decade. This attractive note is without question the finest example we have handled of this issue. Bright, well inked PCGS Very Fine 35, with only some light folds.
