While Banco del Ecuador did not issue any denominations above 20 Pesos that apparently did not deter it from experimenting with a number of different color combinations on designs that were never intended for circulation. This trial incorporated vibrant combinations of green, orange, gold, and purple. The note has been pen cancelled to prevent any attempts at illegal circulation.
