Germany Allied Military Currency 1000 Mark 1944 Pick 198a. The full nine digit serial number indicates this example was printed in the United States by Forbes Lithograph in Boston, MA. As the Russians were responsible for a part of this denomination, as indicated by the dash in front of the serial number and inflated the printing, the Deutsche Mark was introduced quickly later.
