Jamaica Bank of Nova Scotia £1 2.1.1930 Pick S139. An active trading relationship existed between Nova Scotia and the West Indies as early as the 1820s. An 1899 Act of Parliament allowed Canadian banks to issue notes in any other British colony and he Bank of Nova Scotia was the first bank to take advantage of the legislation and establish a branch outside of its normal trading area (in Kingston, Jamaica). This £1 note was issued in 1930 and grades Very Good-Fine with a missing corner tip. HID08701242017
