Netherlands Antilles Dutch Administration 2 1/2 Gulden 1955 Pick A1ap Face and Back Approval Proofs. Both Face and Back Proofs are mounted on cardstock with a "window" that allows for viewing of only of the printed side. Each Proof has a translucent overlay of onion skin watermarked paper with several folds each that displays the company emblem of the ABNCo and also has a sealed clear enclosure. Therefore, these examples are not graded, but appear to be free of any folds to our eyes. It is observed that the "American Bank Note Company" imprint has been glued at bottom center of both Proofs and the back has two glued additions with both being the issue identifier of "Uitgifte 1955." Officers of the Administration of Finance have approved these Proofs with their penned initials or names that were placed on the surrounding affixed cardboard of the printed sides of the Proofs during November 1955. The back cardstock of both pieces exhibits several ABNCo rubber stampings from August 1955 plus handwritten ABNCo control numbers. A very interesting pair of Proofs that gave the ABNCo the go ahead to start production. HID08701242017
