Philippines Treasury Certificate 1 Peso 1941 Pick 89b; 89c. These two notes are interesting in that they are not quite what they appear to be. Pick 89b was one of 300,000 processed by the National Bureau of Standards in 1943 so that it appeared to have been in circulation, making it easier for guerillas and other personnel to use new notes smuggled into the country. Pick 89c was one of 200,000 notes printed specifically to be used as part of naval aviator survival kits. Should a flyer be forced down he had some cash to use. The artificially aged note grades PMG Very Fine 20 (something which would have made the folks at the NBoS smile) while the Aviator Packet note grades PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. HID08701242017
