World Currency
Russia State/Government Credit Notes "ABNC Developmental Models" 1866-80 (2) and "ABNC Archive Correspondence" Oct. 1931. The two "ABNC Developmental Models" are handwritten blue sheets in English titled, "Directions for new work to be done for Russian Notes." This is followed by detailed instructions with samples of what is expected for certain aspects of the notes (counters, lathe work, ornamentation) by either being affixed to the sheets or hand drawn. These notes would later become Pick A41-A47. Measurements of these sheets are approximately 8 by 12.5 inches. The third piece is an approximate 7.25 by 5 inch memorandum handwritten in pencil that states, "The Russian dies made from 1859 to 1868 for the Imperial Government of Russia were supposed to have been turned over to the Russian government. We have some of the dies but not all. Information from Mr. Nordbull. Oct 1931 HM". This American Bank Note Company troika of correspondence has been encapsulated by PMG, but not graded.
