Bronze Applique Medusa Head. Roman, I-II Century AD. Heavy bronze circular applique with winged head of Medusa in high relief, iron mounting spikes to rear. Origanially decoration for a large chair, etc. 3.25" diameter, relief 1.5". Green patina. Outstanding. ex gilman collection.
