Post-Union crowned cruciform shields, eight strings to Irish harp, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG: BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REG., edge inscribed in raised letters of upright orientation to obverse, + DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN. ANNO. REGNI. DVODECIMO., weight 30.05g (Bull 1349; ESC 109; C&R 572 R; S.3603). Toned, some spots and flecks mainly on obverse, nick by mouth and smaller one on top of chest, black imperfection at neck, otherwise good very fine.
