DEI.GRATIA., rev. crowned cruciform shields, nine strings to Irish harp, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, M.B.F.ET. H.REX. F.D.B. ET.L.D.S.R.I. A.T ET.E., edge inscribed in raised letters of inverted orientation to obverse, *DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN. ANNO. REGNI. VICESIMO, weight 30.02g (Bull 1669 R; L&S 7; ESC 126; C&R 807 R; S.3690). Attractively toned, nick on forehead and slight one by mouth, a few hairlines in fields both sides, extremely fine and rare.Provenance:
