George III (1760-1820), silver Pattern Bank Token of Ninepence, 1812, 9D type, laureate head right, Latin legend GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX, outer raised rim both sides rev. denomination and date in four lines surrounded by oak and laurel wreath of 16 acorns and 16 berries, BANK / TOKEN / 9D. / 1812, weight 3.64g (Bull 2185 R3; ESC 1478; S.3773). Attractively toned, as struck FDC and very rare.
