George IV (1820-30), silver Halfcrown, 1820, first laureate head left, B.P. below for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:, rev. first crowned quartered garnished shield of arms with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, ten strings to Irish harp, emblems surrounding, thistle to left, shamrocks to right, initials of Mint Master William Wellesley Pole "WWP" raised at centre of the three shamrock leaves, rose below, legend and toothed border surrounding, ANNO 1820, weight 14.10g (Bull 2357; Davies 170; ESC 628; C&R 1167; S.3807). Attractively toned, good extremely fine.
