George I (1714-27), silver Shilling, 1718, roses and plumes reverse, first laureate and draped bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS. D. G. M. BR. FR. ET. HIB. REX. F. D., rev. crowned cruciform shields, roses and plumes in alternate angles, seven strings to Irish harp, garter star at centre, Z type 1 in date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .BRVN ET. L. DVX S.R.I.A:TH ET. EL., weight 6.00g (Bull 1566; ESC 1165; C&R 716; S.3645). Attractively toned, some light flecks on obverse, otherwise a pleasing extremely fine.
