George III (1760-1820), copper Twopences (2), 1797, laureate and draped bust right, K.: raised on truncation for engraver C H Kuchler, Latin legend incuse on raised border surrounding both sides, GEORGIUS III. D: G. REX., rev. Britannia seated left on rock with trident and shield, holding olive branch, ship sailing right to left, SOHO raised on rock below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIA, date below, weight 57.37g and 57.84g respectively (Peck 1077; C&R 1103; S.3776). Both toned, some tiny flecks and nicks with a spot or two, first extremely fine, second very fine. (2)
