George III (1760-1820), copper Proof Halfpenny, 1775, long haired laureate head right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS . III. REX., rev. struck en medaille, crowned Irish harp of 9 strings, dividing date below, HIBERNIA. legend, weight 9.72g (D&F 585; S.6614). Toned with plenty of lustre, light black mark on cheek and a few flecks in field, a few tiny edge nicks, otherwise good extremely fine, practically as struck and rare.
