William IV (1830-37), silver Quarter-Rupee, 1835, Prooflike restrike of East India Company at Calcutta, bare head right, initial F raised on truncation after engraver William Forbes, legend with beaded outer border, WILLIAM IIII, KING., rev. struck en medaille, ¼ / RUPEE / and Indian script within laurel wreath of 18 berries, date below with stop, EAST INDIA COMPANY surrounding, weight 2.93g (SW 1.70 dies C/IV; Pr.87; KM 448.6). Toned with some uneven colour, good extremely fine and rare.
