William IV (1830-37), copper Half-Anna, 1835, struck for the East India Company at Madras, company shield of arms with lion supporters holding flags, rampant lion above, date below, banner legend below, AUSP: REG: & SEN: ANG:, broad flat raised rim both sides, rev. struck en medaille, Indian script / HALF / ANNA within laurel wreath of 20 berries, EAST INDIA COMPANY surrounding, weight 12.80g (SW 1.83 dies B/II; Pr.133; KM 447.1). Toned with plenty of original colour, rim a little uneven on obverse, otherwise good very fine and rare.
